About Charles

*Sadly, Charles passed away on 9/26/25 and will forever be in our hearts

Charles is an 18 year old delightful male cat who has found his forever sanctuary at Ferrell Hollow Farm Senior Horse & Cat Sanctuary. Rescued from an owner surrender, Charles arrived at our sanctuary with a unique personality that sets him apart from the rest.

At first glance, Charles may seem like your typical cat, but fellow feline enthusiasts quickly discover his wonderfully quirky traits. He possesses an endearing, playful spirit that lights up any room he enters. His playful antics often include entertaining leaps onto unsuspecting surfaces and a propensity for chasing after the most unlikely objects — even shadows!

Charles has an insatiable curiosity and a knack for finding trouble (the delightful kind) where it least expects to be found. Whether he’s jumping on a window perch or meticulously inspecting new visitors to the sanctuary, his inquisitive nature always keeps staff and volunteers smiling.

While he enjoys his independence, Charles also delights in petting sessions. He can often be found lounging in a sunny spot, where he soaks up the warmth. His purrs, especially when he is comfortable and happy, have a calming effect on all who come near.

At Ferrell Hollow Farm, we highly value our residents, and while we do not adopt out animals, we give Charles and his sanctuary mates a loving environment where they can thrive and live out their days in peace.
