About Theron

Meet Theron: A Gentle Soul at Ferrell Hollow Farm

Theron, our majestic 34 year old Belgian draft horse, joined us at Ferrell Hollow Farm after being rescued from a local auction. His journey to our sanctuary was marked by uncertainty and the challenges that many horses face, but today, he shines as a testament to resilience and kindness.

From the moment Theron arrived, it was clear that he possessed a truly special spirit. He is a gentle but guarded soul, slow to form a bond with his human caregivers, but when he does, loves to beg for treats. Theron enjoys spending time grazing in his pasture, being the seeing eyes for his blind horse companion and warms the hearts of all who meet him.

Theron has a long and flowing mane, making him a favorite to view among our visitors. He looks forward to greeting anyone who may have his favorite food or treats. His kind nature makes him an excellent ambassador for our sanctuary, helping to educate others about the importance of horse rescue and the need for compassion toward animals in distress.

Now, with the love and care he receives at Ferrell Hollow Farm, Theron is not just a survivor—he is a symbol of hope. We invite you to come meet him and experience the joy he brings. Theron is ready to share his story, and in return, he hopes to inspire others to support the mission of rescuing and caring for horses in need.
