About Butter

Sadly Butter passed away March 3, 2026 from an aggressive cancer at age 20. He will always remain in our hearts!

Butter is not just a name; it’s a promise of sweetness wrapped in a luxurious coat of silky, long black hair. Rescued from a situation of owner surrender, Butter now enjoys the serene sanctuary lifestyle at Ferrell Hollow Farm, where he has flourished into the charming feline we know him to be.

His gentle demeanor and graceful presence make him a favorite amongst our staff and visitors. With expressive golden eyes that seem to gaze into your soul, Butter possesses an uncanny ability to lift spirits wherever he goes. His silky fur beckons for gentle strokes, proving that he is as delightful to touch as he is to behold. Butter thrives on companionship and relishes in the warmth of affection, often seeking out a warm, sunny spot to lounge and dream.

While Butter’s past may not have been the happiest, it has shaped him into the loving and easygoing cat he is today. He has an affectionate personality, easily charming his way into the hearts of all who meet him. This sweet boy is content to observe the world around him, occasionally indulging in a playful moment, showcasing his youthful spirit.

At Ferrell Hollow Farm, our mission is to provide a safe haven for senior animals like Butter, offering them the love and care they deserve.
