About Big

Meet Big: Our Sweet Rescue Horse

Big is not just a name; it’s a statement of his larger-than-life personality. Rescued from an owner surrender situation, this 31 year old delightful gelding has quickly captured the hearts of everyone at Ferrell Hollow Farm Senior Horse & Cat Sanctuary. With a gentle spirit, Big embodies the essence of resilience and hope.

Standing tall and proud, Big has a striking presence, with a glossy black coat that shines in the sun. His physical stature reflects his name, but it’s his captivating personality that truly stands out.

At the sanctuary, Big thrives in an environment that allows him to express his individuality. He loves to explore his surroundings and often surprises us with his curious nature. From investigating anything that catches his eye to gently nudging volunteers for a treat, Big embraces life with an infectious joy.

This lovable equine has a profound sense of companionship. He enjoys the company of both humans and other animals, often forming bonds with those he meets. His curious eyes reveal a character that is both endearing and captivating.

At Ferrell Hollow Farm, we are committed to fulfilling Big’s needs, ensuring that he experiences the love and care he deserves in his golden years. With kindness, patience, and plenty of time in the sun, we strive to provide a nurturing sanctuary where he can flourish.

Join us in celebrating Big’s journey. Through his story, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of equine rescue and the joy that comes from giving second chances to animals in need. Your support through donations can help us continue our mission and provide a safe haven for wonderful souls like Big. He’s not just a horse; he’s a reminder of the profound impact that love and care can have on a life. Come meet Big and let his sweet spirit inspire you!
