Our Mission
Ferrell Hollow Farm Senior Horse & Cat Sanctuary is a 501c3 Non Profit Organization, which allows for tax exempt donations. Our mission is to advocate and care for special needs senior horses and senior cats in need of a sanctuary setting, that are not afforded adequate care and would be considered at risk of neglect or abuse, if left in their current situation.
Ruby
Ruby is a 34 year old Clydesdale draft mare that was brought to us from a very neglectful situation where she was not being properly fed or cared for. She had been overbred, and had very little handling. She is completely blind in both eyes and requires special care to manage her disability. Upon arrival, she was very underweight, infested with lice and had overgrown feet. She is a very sweet mare, who enjoys attention and has learned to navigate her area and responds well to voice prompts.
*Sadly Ruby passed away February 7th, 2022 and is greatly missed!
