Our Mission
Ferrell Hollow Farm Senior Horse & Cat Sanctuary is a 501c3 Non Profit Organization, which allows for tax exempt donations. Our mission is to advocate and care for special needs senior horses and senior cats in need of a sanctuary setting, that are not afforded adequate care and would be considered at risk of neglect or abuse, if left in their current situation.
Jackson
*Sadly Jackson passed away 1-11-19*
Jackson is a 30 year old Belgian draft gelding. We don't know much about his background except that he is broke to harness and needed a forever home to address his senior issues. He has some dental challenges and requires soft, soaked meals. Under all of the winter coat, he was ribby and needed a customized diet plan. There is evidence of an old injury on his right front foot. He also has itchy lower legs which require daily maintenance. He is a laid back and nice boy.
He had an eye exam as he has had chronic weepy eyes. We did find that he has Uveitis, Cataracts and Glaucoma, which requires occasional steroidal eye ointment and a Guardian Mask to block the UV rays.
