Our Mission
Ferrell Hollow Farm Senior Horse & Cat Sanctuary is a 501c3 Non Profit Organization, which allows for tax exempt donations. Our mission is to advocate and care for special needs senior horses and senior cats in need of a sanctuary setting, that are not afforded adequate care and would be considered at risk of neglect or abuse, if left in their current situation.
Snow White
*Sadly, Snow White passed away 9/1/15*
Snow White is a 16.2 hand, 35 year old Percheron draft mare.
She was saved at a kill auction by a rescue group in February 2012, and arrived to our sanctuary October 17th 2012.
Snow is a very sweet and docile mare-laid back and passive. Her feet are not in good condition, current x-rays show she has foundered with coffin bone rotation, and also has significant joint issues which all contribute to her being difficult to trim. We spent her first year getting her over her anxiety regarding handling her feet. She does require therapeutic boots to keep her comfortable.
